Transitions

I've spent three years with Shea Homes in a number of different capacities.  As of Monday, I will leave the "home building" side of the business and transfer to BlueStar Golf and Resorts as a manager of their golf course, restaurant, and retail space in Brentwood, CA.  BlueStar is another company under the general JF Shea Umbrella and works with Shea Homes in running the resort operations at their Trilogy Communities.

As a family, we've felt blessed and fortunate to have been given the opportunity to work with Shea and feel grateful that in  light of the current economy, they've continued to give us chances to grow professionally and provide for our little ones.  The news is bittersweet as there were another round of layoffs this week so it's made us feel even more grateful for our opportunities.

Well - if anyone has seen me golf they'll know that I'm not going to BlueStar because of my golfing abilities.  I'm excited to learn a new business model and get to work on something new!

Kylee had her 100th day at school.  Jen and Kylee made this picture board using 100 different items.  The flowers are made out of Kylee's "puffy balls" that we use as money in her "store."  So Kylee has kindly reminded me that we need to buy her more puffyballs because she basically used her allowance to make this school project.

Jaron LOVES this blue blanket from Aunty Crystal.  He loves to bite and suck on it and what's funny is that he won't do it with any other blanket.  We got a picture of him sleeping with it.

Ethan smiling - what a ham!  They still aren't walking but are getting very close.  They are also communicating better - both using more sign language and responding to verbal cues.  They are growing up!  !  ! ! ! ! !

Aloha,

Kylee, Jaron, Ethan, and Parents
