Hawaii Daddy / Daughter Trip

A group from the golf course wanted to travel to Maui for a few days of golf allowing me the opportunity to go back home for a 'work trip.' We decided against taking the boys back - while it was hard to split the family for a week, it did allow Kylee and I some precious time together.

A view of the fifth hole I believe at the Kapalua Bay Course. There was a 'flash food storm' that brought some rain and waves to the island. The West Side had swells close to 10 ft when we were golfing. . . . . haven't been in that type of surf in almost 10 yrs!

Driving down Haleakala Hwy one morning - Kylee flipped out at how many rainbows she saw on this trip

Kylee and Mom met me for the last few holes on Pukalani. Believe it or not, this was my first time golfing on Maui.

One of the things I remember growing up is walking home from school and sitting on the 'fort' that dad built for us and eating tangerines before doing homework. Kylee would perch under the papaya tree and eat tangerines every morning.

A rare opportunity to attend a HUGE Tongan Luau to celebrate the One Year Anniversary of the Pi'ilani ward. Check out the pig on the table - great food.

Kylee running around Ulua Beach. We had perfect weather for the trip and it was fun taking Kylee to the beach that I remember going to when Becky was Kylee's age.

Kylee's new favorite restaurant - Genki Sushi. She got a kick out of all the sushi going around on the belt. She ate quite a bit - I was surprised.

So every morning she'd go out and pick the tangerines off the tree to make juice. I couldn't find her some mornings and ended up she had snuck out to go and pick on her own. Nothing beats fresh squeezed tangerine juice in the mornings.

Thank you Kylee for a memorable trip! I'm not sure how much of it you will remember but I can promise you that this will always be a special memory for me. Love ya!

Love,

Kylee, Jaron, Ethan, and Parents
