Hey everyone,

Aloha from CA! We got this idea from the Crook family so we'll try it out and see how this goes.

We're doing well. We took Kylee to Six Flags as part of a work outing the other day and she had a blast (if you can't tell from the pictures). She loved the dolphins and the 'updowns' - her nickname for the rollercoasters.

Jenny's been busy fixing up the house - we tore up our deck in the back of the house, cut down three trees in our fr

ont yard, and tilled the main area in front of the house! Hopefully, we'll have things looking decent before everyone comes and visits!

We wish you all well! We miss all of you but are excited for everything that lies in store for you and yours. Please keep in touch and we hope this helps us stay in touch with everyone.

Fun Facts

Fact#5: Jen and I both have a minor in Japanese. Despite the fact that I lived in Japan and had been working at a job that required me to speak and read Japanese, Jen would frequently beat me on our kanji character tests.

Fact #4: I don't know if it's a Japanese or Buddhist superstition, but my mom always said that when a family loses someone, that a new person will come into the family. About two weeks after attending my grandmother's funeral, we were excited to find out that we were expecting! That very night, Jen found out that her grandmother had passed away. I thought back to this superstition and thought, "would we have twins?" We lost two people special to us but were so happy that we've welcome in two very special individuals.

Fact #3: One of the neatest experiences we had was living in Japan for two years following graduation. We got to travel extensively through Japan and to a few parts of Asia. We also got to meet a number of Jen's relatives and even saw both Kelii and Kenny as they finished their missions.

Fact #2: Kylee was born on August 6th - the day the A-Bomb was dropped on Hiroshima. Jaron and Ethan were born on September 11th - another day memorialized in history. We are thinking that (if) we have another - it will be on 12/6 - Pearl Harbor day. :)

Fact #1: Jenny and Ray met while working at the Polynesian Cultural Center. Ray worked in the Japanese Guide Dept. Jenny worked in the Hawaiian Village and danced hula in a number of the different pageants. After graduation, Jenny also helped publish a book on the Native Plants of Polynesia - their usage, origins, and migration throughout the Polynesian Triangle
